1842 to 1916
MEYNIER's family built a little house on their lands. The family is composed of a couple without children and a priest. The priest's little room, made out of wood may nowadays be seen, as it remained almost the same.
1916 to 1946
In 1916, without any children, Mr and Mrs MEYNIER took care of their nephew Antoine VIALA who just lost his mother. He is the son of Emmanuel VIALA, himself brother of Mrs MEYNIER.
The little house has been converted into the present farm by Antoine, Emilie's Grand Father.
Antoine extended the house, built barns for the cowshed and the sheepfold and then the warehouse.
1946 to 1985
From 1940, Albert, Emilie's father, helped his father Antoine look after the land and buildings. Albert has only one daughter decided to not take over the farm. So when Albert retires, the lands are rented and the building fall into decay.
2000 to 2010
In 2000, Emilie and her husband Michel decided to breathe new life into the farm. They started by restoring inside family farm to spend week-ends and then convert the warehouse into two flats.
In April 2009 after the sale of their company, they decided to create guestrooms in their origin place: La Lozère.
As from October 2009, they restored cowshed and barn.
Today, after 9 months of work, five guestrooms have emerged. Five guestrooms, wherein Emilie and Michel have wished to give quality accommodation, combining past charms with a contemporary design.
They will welcome you for a stage or unforgettable holidays in Lozère. |
